The best investment into your dog is formal obedience dog training.  There are no limits to the possibilities of memories to be made with a dog that can be trusted both on and off leash no matter where life takes you!

Our 2 month obedience program will teach not only the dog how to mind, but also the handler how to comfortably and reliably control their dog!

You deserve a vacation, and so does your dog!  So bring them to the only place that they can fully enjoy safe room to roam!

We are fortunate enough to be located on 20 acres right in the middle of Southern Baldwin County.  Where else can your dog be able to take long walks in the comfort of nature while remaining on the boarding facility's property!?

Retriever Training and Obedience Training FAQ

The obedience program is a 2 month program. It includes both on and off leash obedience!

The BASIC gun dog program is a 4 month minimum.  All dogs learn at different speeds so we call this a minimum.  The Basic Gun Dog Program yields a dog the is obedient at home and in the field, will sit steady while hunting, and will deliver birds that the dog sees fall to the hunter's hand. 

Absolutely!  We highly encourage your involvement in your dogs training.  We do ask for the first 3 weeks without a visit, so that we can make progress on the training as well as get to know the dog's demeanor.  After that we just ask that you schedule your visits here on the website!

A note from our Owner

Thank you so much for checking us out here at River Bottom Retrievers!  The dogs we train, have trained, and will train are my proudest works.  There is nothing that makes me happier than being able to provide the family companion, hunting retriever, or competitive retriever of my client's dreams!  If there are any specific goals you have with your dog that you don't see listed on this site, please contact me directly to discuss options.  If I am not able to complete these goals I will do my best to put you in contact with someone who can!
